SALES REPRESENTATIVE ENOLOGICAL SUPPLIES/SERVICES (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

The Sales Representative is responsible for the revenues generated by the sales of all the products and services in his/her territory, in this case Lodi/Central Valley/Monterey areas.

Main Tasks

· The Sales Representative is in charge of promoting company’s full range of products and services in his (her) territory or customer list, in order to achieve the sales budget defined

· Acts in a professional way in all the contacts with customers (phone, sales calls, tradeshows or other events), communicating a high level image of the company

· Spends more than ¾ of working hours in face to face interaction with customers, in order to maximize relation and trust

· Defines, in agreement with the SMWP, the yearly budget for winemaking products for the assigned territory or customer list

· Defines, in agreement with the TSSM, the yearly budget for Technical Services and Laboratory Supplies (Materials) for the assigned territory or customer list

· Defines and cooperates with both Sales Managers (SMWP and TSSM) on the target products or services for their territory.

· Monitors and reviews sales results regularly with the Sales Managers, in order to prevent negative deviation from targets (daily and/or weekly as needed)

· All the Quotes and Proposals sent to the customers should be copied to the Sales Managers (SMWP and TSSM) and obtains prior approval for any special pricing or non-standard service

· Plans in advance, with the support & collaboration of the Sales Managers, the meetings with the customers, in order to maximize the results from the sales calls

· Participates in the sales meetings, contributing with a review & analysis of the results, business conditions, threats, opportunities, short and long term targets. (Bi-Weekly Sales Meeting)

· Produces monthly sales progress report and presents/discuss during the 1st sales meeting after the end of the month, using the company format. To be submitted to the Sales Managers no later than the 2nd day of the month.

· Collects information about competitors, namely about pricing, offerings and market presence and perception

· Obtains and records information about the customer, namely regarding key contacts, production, competitors presence, and potential opportunities/threats (Using the Excel CRM)

· Provides quarterly revisions of major stock/inventory needs, in particular for items with low quantity on hand

 · Shares with the Sales Managers and other Sales Representatives relevant information regarding the main accounts, in particular the ones listed as Corporate Accounts

· Attends training and actively looks to increase the technical knowledge about the products and service that sells, using the resources available in the company (technical staff, technical literature, support documents) and others

· Assists customers with in-house product trials

· Provides customer service by phone and in person for supply order entry, order tracking, and product support

· Fulfills customer requests for information, pricing, and availability of product

· Enters customer data and activity notes daily into the Excel CRM files

· Provides input on ways to better achieve sales targets

· Participates, as requested by the company, in Industry events & other trainings.

· Provides back-up to other Sales Representatives.

· Provides input on ways to better achieve sales targets

· The performance of the SR will be evaluated on an yearly basis, during the annual performance review (during the month of February), and will consider:

o Sales Behaviors:

§ Communication with peers

§ Communication with the supervisor

§ Communication with the other Sales Representatives

§ Updating the CRM file

§ Timely Monthly Reporting
