Our intimate, family-owned Tasting Room in Carmel-by-the-Sea and/or Soledad is searching for an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our team as a part-time Tasting Room Host. We are seeking a person who has the skill set and attitude to create a wonderful experience for our guests in our tasting room. This person will work to increase sales, grow our wine club and further enhance our tasting experience for guests.
Position is PT (Fri-Sun).
Attendance:
Regular and reliable attendance is mandatory, must be available to work weekends and holidays.
This position offers a great opportunity to learn every facet of the wine industry. It entails weekend work hosting and educating our customers about our wines while building our tasting room and wine club business.
Position Qualifications/Responsibility:
· Customer service and sales experience
· Attention to detail
· Ability to follow policies and procedures
· Take initiative to complete guest request and any task or project assigned by management
· Friendly, outgoing personality and team player
· Computer skills that include Word, Excel and basic database management
· Ability to communicate effectively with consumers, employees and wine trade guest
· Ability to multi-task and take initiative on projects
· Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time and lift 50lbs
· Professional phone etiquette when making calls to our customers
· Accurately handle routine purchasing transactions including opening/closing cash registers
· Outstanding ability in customers service and working with the public
· Sincere desire to make every tasting experience engaging and memorable
· Must be able to work weekends and holidays
· An absolute must, reliable, responsible and honest
· Pervious winery experience is a plus
· Represent winery at outside events as necessary
· Must be 21 years of age
· Valid CA Driver’s License required
