Tasting Room Sales Associate (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, high energy, sales professional to join our tasting room team. The tasting room is set in beautiful, highly social, and fast paced downtown Carmel. The perfect candidate needs to be articulate, have a knack for providing exemplary customer service, strong attention to detail, self-motivated, needs to be flexible on weekday and weekends including evenings.

Responsibilities include all aspects of Tasting Room Duties:

Guest Reception and Wine Education

Consistently deliver outstanding customer service

Wine & Gift Sales

Wine Club Promotion & Membership Sales

Cash Register Operation and Daily Reconciliations

Providing Winery, Travel and Other Information to Guests

Food preparation for small plates

Glass Washing, Daily Cleaning, Inventory Stocking, and other tasks as needed

Requirements:

Prior Tasting Room Experience Preferred

Comprehensive Wine Knowledge and Basic Understanding of Monterey /CA Wine Industry,

Excellent Customer Service Skills, including Sales Abilities

Excellent Communication Skills

Computer and PC-Based Cash Register Experience

Logistics:

Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and overtime when needed

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Ability to work in changing conditions

Ability to tolerate physical activity, including standing for prolonged periods, bending, walking, and other actions
