REPORTS TO: Resident Manager of each Inn
CLASSIFICATION: Salaried, Exempt; Eligible for Benefits

POSITION SUMMARY
As part of the hospitality team at the Calderwood Inn & Grape Leaf Inn, the Assistant Resident Manager assists guests with gracious hospitality while surpassing their expectations by providing unique experiences during their stay at any of our properties. Knowledge of the community and surrounding attractions is a plus while being attentive to details and fulfilling administrative responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assistant Resident Manager 3 days @ Calderwood Inn + 2 days @ Grape Leaf Inn
Calderwood Inn – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7:30am to 6:00pm with break during the day based on occupancy
· Assist guests during Check-in while providing concierge services
· Prepare and serve breakfast & maintain food supplies under Resident Manager’s direction
· Prepare & offer afternoon cookies
· Set-up and serve evening welcome reception with wines from WAW 8 wineries
· Invite guests to the Speakeasy at the Grape Leaf Inn
· Assist guests during Check-out, using the process as a positive marketing tool to create a repeat guest
· General administration including email, phone, and onsite presence
· Work with housekeeping staff in a professional and motivating manner, encouraging team spirit and positive outlook.
· Maintain Social media: Facebook + Pinterest + Twitter + Instagram
Grape Leaf Inn – Thursday & Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm with break during the day based on occupancy
· Assist guests during Check-in while providing concierge services
· Greet guests during breakfast & review day activities , maintain food supplies under Resident Manager’s direction
· Prepare & offer afternoon cookies
· Set-up and serve evening welcome reception with wines from WAW 8 wineries
· Invite guests to the Speakeasy
· Assist guests during Check-out, using the process as a positive marketing tool to create a repeat guest
· General administration including email, phone, and onsite presence
· Work with housekeeping staff in a professional and motivating manner, encouraging team spirit and positive outlook.
Concierge services
· Offering full concierge services to all lodging guests
· Contact guests upon reservation
· Where possible, provide services well in advance to allow for greater availability of selection
· Coordinate with H&L and Marketing to establish and maintain fresh in-room and on-line presence
· Promote WAW Wineries and VIP Tour service to guests
· Represent WAW properties to business and services which will complement the guests experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Over 3 years in the industry of Hospitality
· Excellent Hospitality skills demonstrating good communication in English and patience with guests
· Computer skills Microsoft word, Outlook, Excel and the Inn Reservation Key
· Integrity and honesty
· Flexibility of scheduling
· Multi-tasking while being enthusiastic
· Perform in a calm professional manner under pressure
· Full Time weekdays while required to work one weekend a month
PAY AND BENEFITS
· Salary based on experience
· Health Insurance available after 90 days employment for full time employees

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Most job duties will be performed at the Calderwood Inn and the Grape Leaf Inn.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, talk, hear, taste and smell. Employee must possess cooking skills, vision, hearing and sufficient digital manipulation skills to utilize a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel and crouches; carry food trays, plates and dining items. The employee must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
