Red Mare Wines has an immediate opening for a wine and spirits sales professional in Napa Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area. This position requires creating a new customer base, both direct-to-consumer and wholesale, both on- and off-premise. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Create, build and maintain on- and off-premise buyer relationships at high profile and top volume accounts.
· Develop the customer base through superior knowledge of our wines, quality presentations, consistent servicing of accounts.
· Grow sales placements and revenue within each account by effectively targeting wine lists and retail opportunities.
· Execute new account goals by implementing an effective cold calling program and following up on qualified leads
· Identify sales opportunities, challenges, and solutions.
· Organizing wine events (tastings, dinners, in store tastings)
Experience/Requirements
· A passion for selling
· Wine and/or spirits outside sales experience
· Knowledge of chain accounts & restaurant buyers, buying and promotional practices and operational procedures.
· Self-motivated and confident with strong written and verbal communication skills
· Valid California driver’s license, insurance and a reliable vehicle
· Ability to lift 35+ pounds several times a day
Commission-based.
