Tasting Room Concierge (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Job Description:

Jamieson Ranch Vineyards is a unique and beautiful winery property located in South Napa.  We are currently seeking a full-time Concierge to play a role on our DTC team. The concierge function is a significant and essential role for all guest experiences as well as to the hospitality process and flow at the Winery. The desired candidate will possess strong attention to detail, a passion to excel in all aspects of hospitality and sales, accurate data entry skills, excellent customer service, a flexible nature, and strong work ethic.  

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Greet visitors upon arrival at the winery and guide them to their experience.
• Provide first-class service and sales both in person and in response to inbound and out-bound calls and emails.
• Create detailed reservations for guest visits in order to under-promise and over-deliver.
• Assist with Wine Club Member sign-ups, cancellations, shipment pick-ups, and customer service.
• Must log detailed notes when interacting with clients.
• Responsible for tracking and logging visitor data, including referral source, and reporting the information regularly.
• Provide follow-up and hospitality calls/emails to previous guests and customers.
• Mentor and instruct part time Concierge team.

Knowledge and Skills required:

• High comfort with technology including MS Office and Outlook in particular
• Attention to detail and a strong ability to communicate over the phone.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and the drive to complete projects.
• The ability to learn and understand multiple systems (Vin65, Vino Visit).
• Must be able to walk up and down a long flight of stairs regularly.
