The person we seek has a proven entrepreneurial drive, is a self-starter with an eye for opportunities, who thrives on the relationship aspect of the wholesale wine sales.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Please do not apply if you do not fulfill the below criteria)
• Minimum 2 years East Bay Territory experience
• Familiarity with businesses in the Berkeley / Oakland area, established relationships preferred
• Goal-oriented personality with a proven track record of achieving sales, profit goals, and creating positive relationships
• Must be highly organized
• Have reliable transportation, and valid driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of insurance
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. occasionally
• Professionalism
• Proficient in Outlook Exchange/Word/Excel and Powerpoint
• Knowledge, passion and enthusiasm for the wine industry and wine sales
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage sales to off- and on-premise wine accounts
• Disciplined habits of reporting progress and information to Management
• Ensure sales goals are reached
• Develop new business and expand distribution
• Provide top-level service support to accounts
• Conduct in-store tastings and wait-staff training sessions
• Works actively in the accounts to build strong customer relationships
• Persuasive ability to close sales
• Communicates with clarity and consistency
• Creates good working relationships with internal employees: customer service, credit, etc.
• Represent multiple brands with proficiency and confidence

Compensation is dependent on experience and ability to perform above responsibilities and requirements.
