Michael David Winery is currently seeking a GM for our Cafe. The individual we seek will possess a minimum of 3 years FOH Management experience along with exceptional knowledge of the culinary arts and wine industry.  We offer an excellent benefit package, which includes, medical, dental, LTD, sick leave, PTO, holiday pay and a generous 401(k) retirement plan.

We ask that you be a motivated, hands-on Manager, who has the ability and skills to energize your staff, elevate the level of service and guide the kitchen staff to enhance the menu to stand shoulder to shoulder with our award winning wines.

List of requirements:

Schedule and coordinate work of Servers, kitchen and bakery staff.

Hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff.

Approve the requisition of products and other necessary food equipment purchases.

Ensure the highest level of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout all employee and customer areas.

Establishes controls to minimize waste and maximize profits.

Projects weekly food and labor costs and monitors actual financial results

Consults with Hospitality Manager regarding production of special events.

Evaluates food products to assure quality standards are met.

Puts procedures in place to assure a smooth running operation at all times. Ensures these procedures are adhered to at all times.

Has excellent working knowledge of MICROS pos. AMS helpful.

Works closely with Kitchen and Bakery staff on menu development.

Participates in the planning of special events to be hosted by the Winery.

Attends and participates in monthly manager meetings.

Pre employment drug screen required.

Ability to lift and move 45 lbs.

Food handler safety certification required.

Enrollment in company DMV pull notice program.

Anti-Harassment Training for Managers, First aid and CPR training to be administered by company after hire.
